I just signed on to cover the bass part in one of the local high school’s spring musical- Seussical. Surely I can find a Cat in the Hat hat.
I was going to put it on the scroll of the bass, but the oboist was shy about putting hers on. I said “I will if you will,” and that was that.
The stage lights were hot. The hat was soaked through by the end of two concerts.
