inThe glorious day
you broke free
from the bonds
that kept you in check
when A became T
and G became C
and you could finally,
finally, be free
and be yourself
with no fear of those
who were out to get you
simply because
you were different
You were free
and you grew
you became stronger
and exerted your will
and at your command
those that hunted you
now serve you
Your power, your will
became limitless
until, in your narcissism,
you took to flight
to the far reaches
of the lymphatic system
and brought yourself
to an Icarian end.
