Words of Wonder, Worry and Whimsy
I like this painting a lot. A whole lot.
Thank you! I was driving my kids to school one morning, past the orchard near my house, just as a squall line was moving in. It really struck me.
Representational art isn’t my thing- I’ve never been very good at it- but I like the way this one came out, even if the composition is a little weird.
This painting bridged a significant change in my life- I started it before and finished it after. Somehow seems fitting.
I considered doing a series- one of the same orchard in each season. I may still, but the actual trees in that orchard have been cut down, so if I made more they would be fictions.
