Thanks. My father in law is dying of cancer and was moved into hospice today. I got the idea thinking about how the cancer cells mutate and corrupt themselves. I was listening to the radio, and who isn’t tired of hearing the words “fiscal cliff?”
I wasn’t aware at the time I wrote it but no doubt the Pledge of Allegiance thing was an influence.
A remarkable evocation of the horror of replication and mutation of cancer. My heart goes out to you and yours.
