I asked the I Ching what I should write about. It said to pay attention to details.
I went to the post office. I visited an art gallery. I took the kids to lunch at a sloppy pelican. I ate a shrimp po’boy. I took a shower. I took the kids to the beach. I listened to my wife. I gave blood. I told the woman trying to scam change that I didn’t have any (which was true). I listened to jazz. I ate pizza. I fell asleep on the floor.
I did not write a poem. I paid attention to details.
Probably the most creative thing you could have done.
That’s what I figured.
My batteries are running a bit low- probably because of all the enthusiasm from the block being broken. This morning the I Ching told me that there was a risk of burning out.
The #52 was a randomized fiction assigned by the I Ching. Hexagram 52 basically says “stop, take a rest, breathe.”
Wise, these random oracles.
Yeah 🙂 I started playing with the I Ching after learning how John Cage used it.
