family, found poem, great-grandfather, patent

by Arthur J. Alberts and Mark P. Snyder

This invention relates
to the production
of jects and
advantages will appear
from the deheaded bolt
blanks
and similar articles, and
has to do with a
machine for
producing such
articles.

It is the present
practice in producing
headed bolt
blanks
to cut the wire
or stock in
appropriate lengths,
form upon one end of the
blank
thus produced
a substantially cylindrical
head
of the proper thickness
and diameter for
producing a desired
head,

these operations being
performed in a heading
machine,
after which the
blank
is passed through
a trimming
machine
which trims the
substantially cylindrical
head
to the final
size and shape
of the desired
head.

Under the present
practice referred
to, the use of a heading
machine
and a trimming
machine
is necessary.

My invention is directed
to the provision of
means whereby the
heading
and trimming
operations are
in one
machine,
thus eliminating the use of
a separate trimming
machine
with corresponding
reduced cost of production,
an important consideration
in this art.

The method of
operation of my
machine
comprises
upsetting an end
portion of a
blank
and simultaneously partially
forming thereupon
a head of
the desired shape
and size, forming
the remainder of the
upset
portion to
the desired shape
and size
of the
head,
thus completing the
head
with a relatively thin
fin of
flash
metal
extending about the
head
between the inner
and the outer
faces thereof,
upsetting
the end
portion of a second
blank while inserting the
head
of the first
blank
into a trimming
die, and
driving the
head
of the first
blank
through the trimming
die
trimming off
the fin of
flash
metal, thus completing the
head
of the first
blank, while
forming the
head
of the second
blank
to the desired
size and shape.

The machine comprises
means whereby
the successive
steps the operation are
performed in proper
sequence such that during the
upsetting
and partial
forming of the
head
on a second
blank
a first
blank,
upon which a
head
with a fin of
flash
metal
extending thereabout
has previously been
formed,
is inserted
into the trimming
die,
this first
blank
being forced through the trimming
die
during the succeeding step
of completing
the formation of the
head
upon the second
blank,
which is conducive to
high speed operation
with resulting
increased output
of the
machine.

TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE:

I ask that you take immediate heed of what I say on this leaflet.

I am in possession of the most destructive poem ever devised by man. A single one of my newly developed poems is actually the equivalent in literary power to what 2000 of our giant anthologies can carry in a single book. This awful fact is one for you to ponder and I solemnly assure you it is grimly accurate.

I have just begun to use this poem against your homeland. If you still have any doubt, make inquiry as to what happened to Philadelphia, when just one of my paintings fell on that city.

Before using this poem to destroy every resource of the military by which they are prolonging this useless war, I ask that you now petition the President to end the war.  I have outlined for you the thirteen blackbirds of an honorable surrender. I urge that you accept these blackbirds and begin the work of building a new, better and peace-loving America.

You should take steps now to cease military resistance. Otherwise, I shall resolutely employ this poem and all my other superior artworks to promptly and forcefully end the war.

EVACUATE YOUR LIBRARIES.

EVACUATE YOUR CITIES

Act at once

we shall resolutely

employ this bomb

other superior weapons

promptly and forcefully

end the war

before we use

again and again

destroy every resource

this useless war

an honorable surrender

accept these consequences

begin the work

a single one

actually the equivalent

in explosive power

was virtually destroyed

your leaders’ refusal

accept the surrender

this useless war

it has declared

war against you

found poem, ModPo

hear your prayers
sorry for your blessings
sorry if your thoughts and sympathies
sorry for your time of loss
I join my deepest loss
in offering at this time
my thoughts and please take some comfort
with you and your loss and wish
with you and your family
in knowing how many thoughts
are in my prayers
thoughts and prayers
you are with you, every day
you are in about you and your thoughts
you are in family sympathy
sorry for your prayers
deepest for your prayers
sorry for your kind wishes
you cope with praying for you.

the cops are hanging around a lemonade stand

how much does it cost?

these were major bombs with a potential for a lot of damage

the good guys have to prevail every day

they haven’t won the battle but they were successful, sadly

did you see the still photo of the man on the roof on Boylston Street?

the FBI is looking for help from the public

another road, and maybe I suddenly see you

did I tell you I need you?

you can’t lock it down

bundling your auto insurance can save you tons

they recovered black nylon, a circuit board, ball bearings, and nails

dump your old duster, who’s that lady?

how can you say you’re in love with her?

so much for me having grandchildren.

ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin’ alive

now, a special report on the tribal casino

Massachussetts can’t afford to lose thousands

it just doesn’t make sense

since 9/11 we’re on another pattern of crime

I was at the Sox game the day before

this is continuing coverage, we will get to the bottom of this

can government really keep you safe?

we were shocked, but were you surprised?

this was an atrocity, a murderous act

I had to see something beautiful

it’s the last dance, last dance tonight

We’ll be back after this.
